  What is...?
Short Reserve
Short Reserve is the cash or Money Market funds required as a reserve when you hold a short position on a security. This amount represents the entire value of the short position. Interest is not paid on the reserve, and if your account has a debit balance after the funds are reserved, you will be charged interest on that balance.
